He even persuades Dave to break up with his loyal girlfriend, Linda Marisa Tomei. All of this is intended to get Dave to acknowledge his real feelings, leading to the inevitable "I learned so much from you! Just as mismatched as Anger Management 's odd couple are the film's two competing scripts. The original script is credited to first-timer David Dorfman.

Contributed by producer-star Adam Sandler, the second "script" has many pre-adolescent jokes about body parts and their functions and a lot of references to '80s pop culture. It's only barely saved by the sheer pleasure of watching Jack Nicholson. Anger Management is a variation on every odd couple movie ever made, but especially Analyze This , which also had a comedian playing the straight man and a distinguished actor going wild. Anger Management was released in the latter half of his glory days, and my god, is it hilarious. Sandler, a notoriously goofy and funny actor is paired with the legendary dramatic actor Jack Nicholson. On paper, they're an unlikely duo, but go incredibly well together on-screen.

Dave Adam Sandler meets Dr. Buddy Jack Nicholson on a plane. Afterwards, circumstances bring the two together and Dave undergoes Buddy's anger management program. What makes it so hilarious is that Dave is always calm while Buddy gets outraged over something as minor as having his eggs cooked the wrong way followed by him slamming the plate against the wall. It's worth pointing out that almost every single line is memorable and quotable.

Head, and tell me it isn't Dick. Some may be turned off by the love triangle between Nicholson, Sandler, and his character's girlfriend played by Marisa Tomei which is cheesy and cliche. The twist the plot is hinged on is a lazy, easy way out for the writers You're watching it for the ridiculously profance lines and actions of Jack Nicholson and the ironically innocent way Adam Sandler reacts to them.

Over the 13 years since it's release, I've seen Anger Management countless times and every viewing is funnier than the last. This is easily my favorite Adam Sandler movie. Kevin M Super Reviewer. Jul 24, Anger Management is too boiled up and ultimately doesn't strike a chord. The film has its moments, especially from the addition of Jack Nicholson, but it stumbles from being merely a one-trick-pony of comedy films. Eugene B Super Reviewer. Dec 29, Though not entirely funny, Anger Management is a solid and fun time, due too it's two hilarious leads.

Adam Sandler does what he does and his an appealing guy, but it is Jack Nicholson who will make you laugh the most, his comedic timing is excellent and great, he really nailed it. I saw this movie in the theater with my father and I have to say even though Sandler can annoy me most of the time, this is one of his better comedies. I think he owes that to Jack Nicholson's performance, since Jack can carry a film so well he also makes the jokes into perfect cues and great laughs. Adam does a good job as well, both actors worked very well together and actually have great chemistry.

I think everyone would agree that their version of "I feel pretty" was just so awesome and beyond hilarious. It was also nice to see that this wasn't a typical Sandler film filled with predictable cameo's of his friends, so it showed that he could carry the film without doing the common predictability.

Dave is a man who designs cat suits for fat cats, he has a beautiful girlfriend, Linda, and seems to have it together, only he's actually pretty taken advantage of by his boss and Linda's ex boyfriend. He lets a lot of things go. One day when he is on a plane, he is accused of "assulting" a flight attendant and racist marks, despite the situation actually being the opposite. But he is sent to anger management anyways and is being mentored by Dr.

Buddy Rydell, a bit of a psychotic, but this proves Dave's "internal" anger and turns out to prove that Dave does need help and who might be crazier in life. Anger Management is sometimes a bit silly, but I love this comedy, it's always good for so many laughs. Buddy was just so awesome in that scene where he has to pull his car out of the parking spot, but there is another car blocking him and he just handles it "his way", you'll have to see.

Adam and Jack were great together and I would recommend this film for anyone.
